Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the safe and timely delivery of petroleum products throughout the Wasilla and surrounding area while providing excellent customer service. This position is a night position with the possibility of weekend deliveries.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Must possess a valid Class B CDL with HAZMAT endorsements. Maintain a clean driving record and pass all random drug and alcohol tests.

A. JOB DUTIES

  1. Delivers petroleum products to homes and commercial accounts to include construction and fleet fueling in the Wasilla area.
  2. Performs all work in a safe and efficient manner.
  3. Keeps accurate truck logs.
  4. Performs daily inspections, and report all necessary mechanical repairs to Mechanic.
  5. Keeps equipment truck in clean and working order.
  6. Ensures proper procedure is followed for task being performed.
  7. Ensures meter sheets, dailies, and meters balance of fuel delivered are completed daily and are properly billed and legible.
  8. Provides excellent service to all customers both internal and external.
  9. Informs management of safety, environmental, and mechanical concerns in a timely manner.
  10. Provides advance notice for time off.
  11. Delivers lubes using company flat bed, wash trucks and work around terminal.
  12. Communicates regularly with dispatch during working hours.
  13. This position requires overtime and may be called upon to provide call out duties.

Dress Code: This position requires the incumbent to wear a company provided uniform. Drivers should dress for the current outdoor conditions and wear over the ankle boots. Blue or Black jeans are acceptable and shorts and sweat pants are not allowed. Uniforms are to be kept clean so as to maintain their useful life and present a clean image.

D. ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (Any equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)

Education: High School diploma or GED is required.

Experience: A minimum of two years driving experience in Alaska with a class B CDL with HAZMAT endorsements. Must be able to operate a manual transmission.

Licensure/Certification: Valid Class B or A, Driver’s Medical Card, Hazmat endorsements. Must be able to attain a TWIC Card within 30 days of hire date. Must be able to pass a pre-hire drug screening, and background check. A Shoreside Petroleum pre-hire driving test will be administered after the interview process, this test will include pre-trip inspection, maneuvering, and on-road driving.

Other Qualifications: Attendance: Regular attendance is a requirement of this position.

English Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
