Job summary

Southern States Cooperative seeks a Petroleum Driver to deliver heating oil, kerosene, diesel and gasoline, and to install or service customer equipment on site. You will operate SSC commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT and safety rules, ensuring accurate loading, unloading, and documentation across routes.

The role requires a CDL (A/B) with HazMat, Tanker and Propane endorsements as applicable by location, and a minimum of two years’ petroleum delivery experience.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• CDL Class B or A with HazMat; Tanker and Propane endorsements may be required.
• Minimum two years of Petroleum Driver experience delivering fuel and installing equipment.
• Licensing varies by location; compliance with regulations.
• Must be able to operate and load/unload fuel, use PPE, and perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fuel products and install/maintain customer equipment as needed.
• Plan deliveries and coordinate with supervisor for scheduling.
• Load/unload fuel, calibrate equipment, and record inventory and usage.
• Maintain logs and daily reports; comply with safety rules and SSC policies.
• Provide professional service and communicate clearly with customers and suppliers.
