Shoreside Petroleum in Anchorage, AK seeks a night-time CDL B driver with Hazmat endorsements to deliver petroleum products to homes and businesses. You will maintain logs, perform vehicle inspections, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries while coordinating with dispatch.

Requirements include a valid CDL B with Hazmat, two years Alaska driving experience (manual transmission), a clean driving record, and the ability to pass drug tests and background checks.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience: Minimum two years driving in Alaska with Class B CDL and Hazmat endorsements; must operate manual transmission.
• Licensure/Certification: Valid Class B or A, Drivers Medical Card, Hazmat endorsements; TWIC card within 30 days; pass pre-hire drug screen and background check; Shoreside Petroleum driving test will be administered.
• Attendance: Regular attendance is required.
• English Language: Able to read, write, and speak English.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the safe and timely delivery of petroleum products throughout the Anchorage and surrounding area while providing excellent customer service. This position is a night position with the possibility of weekend deliveries

Essential Job Functions

**Must possess a valid Class B CDL with HAZMAT endorsements. Maintain a clean driving record and pass all random drug and alcohol tests.**

A. JOB DUTIES

Delivers petroleum products to homes and commercial accounts to include construction and fleet fueling in the Anchorage area.

Performs all work in a safe and efficient manner

Keeps accurate truck logs

Performs daily inspections, and report all necessary mechanical repairs to Mechanic.

Keeps equipment truck in clean and working order

Ensures proper procedure is followed for task being performed.

Ensures meter sheets, dailies, and meters balance of fuel delivered are completed daily and are properly billed and legible

Provides excellent service to all customers both internal and external

Informs management of safety, environmental, and mechanical concerns in a timely manner.

Provides advance notice for time off.

Delivers lubes using company flat bed, wash trucks and work around terminal

Communicates regularly with dispatch during working hours.

This position requires overtime and may be called upon to provide call out duties.

D. ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (Any equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)

• Education**: High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience**: A minimum of two years driving experience in Alaska with a class B CDL with HAZMAT endorsements. Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
• Licensure/Certification**: Valid Class B or A, Drivers Medical Card, Hazmat endorsements. Must be able to attain a TWIC Card within 30 days of hire date. Must be able to pass a pre-hire drug screening, and background check. A Shoreside Petroleum pre-hire driving test will be administered after the interview process, this test will include pre-trip inspection, maneuvering, and on road driving.
