Job summary

H&S Energy Group in California is seeking a Fuel Attendant & Customer Service Representative to support daily store and fueling station operations. This role ensures safe, efficient fuel dispensing, assists customers inside and outside the store, and maintains a clean, welcoming environment in line with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, handling POS transactions, assisting with fueling and propane dispensing, stocking, and maintaining store

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior experience in retail, fuel service, or customer service a plus.
• Basic understanding of fuel safety and compliance procedures preferred.
• Ability to complete propane training as required by state/local regulation.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally to provide a welcoming experience.
• Provide accurate service at checkout and during fueling interactions; communicate promotions and loyalty programs.
• Assist with fueling, propane dispensing, and other customer needs.
• Handle inquiries and escalate to management as needed.
• Safely operate fuel pumps and propane dispensers in compliance with safety regulations.
• Verify fuel types and pump markings to prevent contamination.
• Maintain a clean and safe fueling area and report hazards.
• Process cash, credit, and debit transactions through the POS system; perform cash handling per policy.
• Keep store and fueling areas clean and well-maintained; restock supplies.
• Collaborate with team to achieve store goals and support promotions.
