Job summary

Fred Meyer is seeking a Fuel Department Lead in Oregon to direct and supervise all functions of the Fuel department, maintain a safe, clean environment, and deliver outstanding customer service that encourages return visits. You will support daily fuel operations, manage inventory and stock, handle cashier functions, and ensure opening and closing procedures are followed.

You will work with store management to monitor budgets, review profit and loss, and uphold safety programs across the fueling

Responsibilities

• Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews, and take appropriate action on all financial reports.
• Participate in the inventory process.
• Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions; note any discrepancies in inventory.
• Train department associates on inventory/stocking and Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO).
• Responsible for fuel delivery and documentation of fuel inventory.
• Process fuel, merchandise, and lottery sales quickly and accurately.
• Follow opening and closing procedures for Fuel center.
• Maintain till according to company policy and perform cashier functions.
• Comply with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions to management.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and notify management of hazards.
• Maintain state, local and company compliance reports and logs.
• Complete incident and security reports.
• Clean up spills and complete Fuel Spill Reports.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency plan numbers and procedures.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report all safety risks, or issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
• Stock and inventory merchandise in kiosks.
• Clean and maintain kiosk and equipment as well as fuel dispensers, vending machines, trash receptacles, customer surfaces, and parking area outside the kiosk.
