Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Kendallville, IN, is seeking a fuel center associate to assist customers, operate the register, pump gas, and ensure a clean, safe environment. You will complete daily tours, report incidents, recover displays, and support adherence to company policies and safety standards.

Deliver first-rate service, work well in a fast-paced setting, and collaborate with teammates to maintain a positive shopping experience for our customers and the communities we serve.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with industry terms and processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Any related experience.
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers and manage cash register.
  • Pump gas.
  • Complete daily tour and inspection.
  • Fill out incident and security reports.
  • Clean up fuel spills and complete Fuel Spill Report.
  • Recover displays and maintain cleanliness of department.
  • Perform cashier functions.
  • Answer telephones.
  • Comply with corporate policies.
  • Comply with safety guidelines and standards.
  • Promote and follow company initiatives.
  • Know emergency plans numbers and procedures.
  • Work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
  • Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Job description

Assist customers and manage cash register. Maintain neatness and cleanliness of the fuel center. Recover stock, fill out incident and security reports, and maintain compliance documentation. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
