Fuel Assistance Client Services Specialist seasonal (Northampton) Temporary mid June-mid September

The Client Services Specialist provides general and clerical support to the Fuel Assistance program under the supervision of the Fuel Assistance Program Coordinator. Primary duties include telephone and walk-in reception, scheduling appointments, conducting phone intake appointments as needed, and assisting clients with completing Fuel Assistance Program applications. They also connect Fuel Assistance participants to other CAPV programs.

We encourage individuals with lived experience from communities that have been historically marginalized or denied full opportunities—such as BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S, persons with disabilities, and those affected by multigenerational poverty or inequality—to apply.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of customer service and office experience in social services or a related field. Skills in interpersonal communication (verbal and written), both in person and over the phone, are essential. The candidate should demonstrate compassion, empathy, conflict resolution, problem-solving, prioritization, adaptability, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.

It is a seasonal position, 30 hours per week, Tuesday through Friday, from mid June to mid September. The work location is at the CAPV office, 155 Pleasant St., Northampton. Pay range: $18.20 - $19.30/hr.
