DP World in Jersey City, NJ seeks a Customs Entry Writer – FTZ Specialist to manage accurate U.S. customs entries with a focus on FTZ. You will handle entry processes, HTS classification, and coordination with CBP, PGAs, and clients to ensure timely clearance.

The role requires 3–5 years of brokerage experience, knowledge of FTZ procedures, and proficiency with CargoWise, ACE, and ABI. Strong attention to detail and customer service are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of customs brokerage experience with FTZ exposure.
• CCS certification or U.S. Customs Broker License a plus.
• Proficiency with brokerage systems: CargoWise, ACE, ABI.
• Strong CBP regulations knowledge, HTS classification, valuation, and PGA requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit U.S. Customs entries (Consumption, Warehouse, FTZ Weekly Entry) per CBP.
• Classify goods using HTS and determine duties, taxes, and fees.
• Submit entries via ABI/ACE in line with CBP and PGA requirements.
• Review invoices, B/Ls, certificates of origin, and related docs.
• Maintain accurate compliance records for audits.
• Coordinate with clients, carriers, freight forwarders, and CBP/PGA.
• Handle post-entry tasks like corrections, protests, refunds, and PSCs.
• Stay current on trade regulations and participate in internal audits.
