DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented FTZ Trade Operations Manager to join our team specializing in Logistics in your remote home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Compliance Expertise : You'll maintain a strong understanding of import/export laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in your assigned geography and providing technical expertise.

  • Process Improvement : By evaluating processes, you'll identify opportunities to reduce risks and costs for import/export activities, implementing changes to capture these opportunities.

  • Business Advising : You'll advise the business on capturing new opportunities and meeting current needs in a compliant and cost-effective manner.

  • Problem Resolution : Acting as a point of escalation, you'll resolve complex, non-routine problems, ensuring smooth operations.

  • Management Reporting : You'll review and present management reports on import/export activities, providing valuable insights for decision-making.

  • Training and Development : You'll conduct training on import/export topics and promote employee development, guiding and directing on problems and issues.

  • Relationship Building : You'll maintain and expand strong relationships with governmental organizations and brokers, ensuring consistent compliance and appropriate documentation.

  • Export Controls Management : You'll develop and execute a strong understanding of export control laws, communicate changes, review applications, and monitor programs to ensure global compliance.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree or equivalent experience required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Significant (5+ years) relevant work experience, including supervisory experience, required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

  • Direct experience with implementing a new Foreign Trade Zone (Administrative, Operational, and IT Systems).

  • Direct experience communicating Foreign Trade Zone requirements to leadership teams.

  • Direct experience with leading the daily operations a Foreign Trade Zone.

  • Direct experience navigating customs regulations to provide evidence to support stance.

  • U.S. Customs Brokerage Licensure preferred.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
