Job summary

Omron Automation in Dallas seeks an Import/Export/FTZ Operations Manager to oversee FTZ day-to-day activities, coordinate with CBP and brokers, and improve trade compliance. You will craft and present FTZ processes to internal teams and external partners, ensuring accurate filings and efficient operations.

The role requires 7+ years in Import/Export and FTZ, with strong US customs knowledge, ERP/WMS experience, and leadership capabilities. Occasional travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' Importing/Exporting and Customs Brokerage Operations experience with US rules.
• Strong understanding of US customs laws and FTZ requirements.
• Experience with ERP, WMS, and analytics tools, and ability to present to leadership.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and leadership abilities.
• Travel up to 10% and ability to work cross-functionally with trade compliance.
• US Customs Broker license is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for FTZ day-to-day operations with CBP and brokers.
• Deliver engaging FTZ presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
• File FTZ entries for Omron and subsidiaries with customs authorities.
• Prepare documents for CBP adjudication of merchandise into the FTZ.
• Support FTZ-related compliance audits with the Legal and compliance teams.
• Develop and maintain an FTZ post-entry audit program.
• Manage FTZ administration and related functions.
• Support WP requests and respond to customer FTZ questions.
• Directly manage import/export freight forwarders and related vendors.
• Collaborate with management on FTZ budgets and cost controls.
