Job summary

Quetico in Goodyear, AZ seeks a detail-oriented FTZ Administrator to manage daily FTZ operations and ensure CBP compliance within the FTZ environment.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of FTZ operations, trade compliance, customs brokerage, or import/export operations.
  • Knowledge of CBP regulations, FTZ requirements, and import/export processes.
  • Familiarity with HTS classification, valuation, and duty principles.
  • Experience FTZ operations in a distribution or warehouse environment.
  • Experience with apparel SKU management preferred.
  • ERP and WMS systems experience (e.g., DaVinci/Full Circle).

The Company

Our Goodyear AZ facility operates under a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), enabling optimized inventory control, duty management, and compliance.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive FTZ Administrator to support daily FTZ operations and ensure compliance with U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP), Federal, and internal regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities The FTZ Administrator oversees system and documentation workflows to ensure goods are accurately received, processed, tracked, and reconciled within the FTZ. This role manages compliance activities, maintains accurate recordkeeping, supports audits, and partners cross-functionally with Warehouse, Finance, Trade Compliance, and IT teams to ensure inventory integrity and smooth operational flow.

FTZ Operations & Compliance

Manage daily FTZ transactional activity, including admissions (e.g., CBPF 214), status changes, weekly entry/weekly zone reporting, and export documentation.

Maintain compliance with CBP rules, FTZ regulations (15 CFR 400/19 CFR 146), and recordkeeping requirements.

Monitor inventory movements: receipts, transfers, consumption, adjustments, and destructions .

Investigate and resolve transactional discrepancies in a timely manner .

Conduct periodic cycle counts and support full physical inventories.

Ensure accurate HTS classification, valuation details, and vendor/product item data.

Assist with internal/external CBP audits, site visits, and compliance reviews.

Data & System Management

Manage FTZ system updates and inbound/outbound data connections, ensuring data integrity.

Partner with WMS/ERP teams to troubleshoot data mismatches or workflow issues.

Maintain strong documentation controls including SOPs, daily logs, and transactional records.

Cross-Functional Support

Partner with Operations, Inventory Control, and Sales Ops to resolve inventory or compliance issues impacting customer orders.

Assist customer onboarding related to FTZ workflows and compliance requirements.

Work closely with Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, suppliers, and regulators.

Train warehouse personnel and internal teams on FTZ policies and handling guidelines as needed.

Reporting

Prepare FTZ reporting (e.g., weekly entry filings, inventory reports, and discrepancy logs).

Track and analyze operational performance to identify and recommend process improvements.

Ensure month-end and quarter-end reconciliations are completed accurately.

Ideal Experience

3–5+ years of experience in FTZ operations, trade compliance, customs brokerage, or import/export operations.

Knowledge of U.S. CBP regulations, FTZ requirements, and import/export processes.

Familiarity with HTS classification, valuation, and duty principles.

Prior experience in FTZ operations within a distribution or warehouse environment.

Experience with apparel SKU management preferred.

Experience with ERP, WMS systems (e.g., DaVinci/Full Circle or similar).

Prior interaction with Customs brokers, forwarders, and regulators.

CUSEX, LCB, or trade certification (plus but not required )

This is an onsite role at our Goodyear, AZ facility.

Ability to walk warehouse floor and perform periodic cycle counts.
