The primary responsibilities include filling prescriptions, assisting customers, unpacking totes, answering phones, and responding to inquiries within specified limits. Certification is required, either state or national.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Review work schedule, check equipment, and prepare supplies at shift start.
2. Move, open, unpack totes, and stock items appropriately.
3. Clean shelves, check inventory, and inspect for expiration dates.
4. Assist customers and answer phone calls.
5. Verify customer identification for products when necessary.
6. Complete prescription filling, including data entry and dispensing.
7. Maintain required certifications and, if certified for immunizations, administer vaccines.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Meet minimum age requirements by state.
• Pass background and drug screening.
• Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand job duties and safety policies.
• Complete a 60-day introductory period.
• Meet ergonomic, physical, and performance standards.
• Learn to operate necessary equipment and tools.
• Perform all functions safely.
• Wear appropriate clothing and shoes.
• Maintain valid licenses, certificates, or permits as required.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum shift: 4 hours, depending on business needs.
• Job cycles: continuous maximum.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
• Category IV: lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Max pull static: 20 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

• Understand company policies and procedures.
• Follow all pharmacy laws and standards.
• Know MSDS information for materials used.
• Complete Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Right-to-Know, and HIPAA training.
• Fulfill additional pharmacy training requirements.
