Primary Purpose

This role involves filling prescriptions, assisting customers, unpacking totes, answering phones, and providing information within specified limits. Certification is required either at the state or national level.

Responsibilities

1. Review work schedule, check equipment, and prepare supplies at the start of each shift.
2. Move, open, unpack totes, and organize supplies on shelves.
3. Clean shelves, check inventory, and inspect for expiration dates.
4. Assist customers and answer phone calls.
5. Verify customer identification for products when necessary.
6. Complete prescription filling, including data entry and dispensing.
7. Maintain required state or national certifications and renew as needed. Certified immunizers will also immunize customers.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Meet minimum age requirements by state.
• Successfully pass background checks and drug screening.
• Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand job duties and safety policies.
• Complete a 60-day introductory period.
• Meet ergonomic, physical, and performance standards.
• Ability to operate required equipment and tools.
• Perform all functions safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Wear appropriate clothing and shoes as approved.
• Hold and maintain necessary licenses, certificates, or permits.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum shift: 4 hours, depending on business needs.
• Job involves continual activity.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand approximately 55% of the time, walk 45%.
• Maximum static pull: 20 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of company policies and procedures.
• Compliance with pharmacy laws and standards.
• Knowledge of MSDS information for materials used.
• Completion of Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Right-to-Know, HIPAA, and other pharmacy-specific training.
