The primary responsibilities include filling prescriptions, assisting customers, unpacking totes, answering phones, and responding to inquiries within set limits. Certification at the state or national level is required, and maintaining your license is your responsibility.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Review work schedule, check equipment, and prepare supplies at the start of each shift.
  2. Move, open, unpack totes, and organize supplies on shelves.
  3. Clean shelves, check inventory levels, and inspect products for expiration dates.
  4. Assist customers and answer phone calls.
  5. Verify customer identification for product sales when necessary.
  6. Complete prescription filling, including data entry and dispensing.
  7. Maintain required state or national certification and renew as needed. Certified immunizing technicians will also administer immunizations.
Qualifications
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Meet age requirements for the state.
  • Successfully pass background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand to perform duties effectively and comply with policies.
  • Complete a 60-day introductory (probationary) period.
  • Meet ergonomic, physical, and performance standards.
  • Learn to operate necessary equipment and tools safely.
  • Wear appropriate clothing and shoes as approved.
  • Hold and maintain valid licenses, certificates, or permits required for the role.
Physical Requirements
  • Minimum shift: 4 hours or more based on business needs.
  • Job involves continuous activity.
  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
  • Category IV: lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Max static pull: 20 lbs.
Preferred Requirements
  • Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all pharmacy laws and standards.
  • Know MSDS information for materials used.
  • Complete Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Right-to-Know, HIPAA, and other pharmacy-specific training.
