Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a pharmacy associate to fill prescriptions, assist customers, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with state and national certification requirements. This role involves data entry, dispensing medications, immunizations if certified, and handling calls and inquiries.

Responsibilities include reviewing schedules, stocking supplies, voucher expiration checks, identity verification, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced retail pharmacy

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. and meet the minimum age requirement.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• Have reading, writing, and communication skills suitable for job duties.
• Complete a 60‑day company probationary period.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements for the position.
• Be able to use the equipment and tools required for the job.
• Perform all job functions safely and meet company performance standards.
• Wear the proper assigned clothing and shoes.
• Maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for this role.

• Shift hours: minimum 4‑hour shift or more depending on business needs.
• Job cycles: continual maximum.

Preferred Requirements

• Understand company policy and procedures as outlined in the policy and employee manuals.
• Comply with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Know MSDS information for all materials used during work.
• Complete Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Right‑to‑Know training.
• Complete HIPAA for Pharmacy Associates training.
• Complete all additional pharmacy training requirements.
