Primary Purpose:

The main goal of this role is to manage department operations including order entry, scheduling, supervising team members, receiving, storing, and stocking items, checking dates, adjusting pricing, and performing all related department tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, adhere to PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at shift start.
  2. Perform markdowns, track loss, and operate all equipment related to deli, carryout, cafe, and cheese departments.
  3. Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
  4. Prepare and display food items such as sandwiches, pizza, and grab-and-go products following SOPs.
  5. Assist customers with slicing meat and cheese, portioning, weighing, and labeling food items.
  6. Manage cooking and roasting processes, including chicken and fried items, ensuring proper handling and labeling.
  7. Order and train staff on smoked program processes, and clean equipment regularly.
  8. Handle logistics tasks like pushing/pulling carts, unloading, and storing supplies.
  9. Follow SOPs for donations, sanitation, and product stocking.
  10. Maintain records such as temperature logs, sanitation logs, and production plans.
  11. Organize sales floor coolers and plan weekly advertisements.
  12. Adhere to safety rules, report incidents, and follow PPE and safety protocols.
  13. Ensure proper food safety, sanitation, and lifting procedures are followed.
  14. Understand company policies, emergency procedures, and complete required training.
Qualifications:
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and understand safety policies.
  • Complete food safety certification every 5 years and teach new team members.
  • Meet ergonomic, physical, and performance standards, including attendance.
  • Proficient with equipment and tools used in the role.
Physical Requirements:
  • Minimum shift of 4 hours; ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.; stand 55%; walk 45%; exposure to cold environments.
Preferred Requirements:

Understanding of company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
