Responsibilities

Performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures applying principles of radiation protection. Exercises judgment in performing procedures and provides patient care essential to MRI procedures.

Perform radiologic MRI examinations that include:

  • Operating equipment
  • Positioning patients on table
  • Calculating scanning parameters
  • Practicing MRI safety
  • Caring for patient needs during examinations
  • Maintain patient records

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain patient records
  • Manage supplies
  • Coordinate restoring of images and sending to PACS
  • Request images/CDs from outside sources
  • Handle phone calls pertaining to MRI requests
  • Keep exam rooms patient ready
  • Assist other personnel as directed by Department Supervisor

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Current registration and certification
  • 6-12 months clinical MRI experience
