Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Coach for Cedar Falls Community Schools. This full-time role involves promoting FTC opportunities, supervising students, recruiting team members, and coordinating resources and sponsors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the assigned FTC team, including communication with coaches and school administration. Interested applicants should possess citizenship, residency, or a work visa.

Responsibilities

• Promote FIRST Tech Challenge opportunities within the school district.
• Supervise students at all team meetings.
• Recruit students for their team and keep team roster records.
• Help to recruit mentors for their team.
• Coordinate meeting times and locations with other FTC teams.
• Coordinate equipment and material resources with other FTC teams.
• Submit parts and materials orders to the FTC Head Coach.
• Arrange Team Sponsors through Grant Requests to fund the activities of their team.
• Communicate with other FTC coaches, the district STEM Facilitator and building Principal(s) about team events, organization and resources.
