Qualifications

• Current SORA License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of security experience.
• Strong observation and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions under pressure.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work indoors/outdoors.
• Proficient in writing reports.
• Technology literacy: capable of operating various devices.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to conduct tours lasting up to one hour.
• Able to work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas to maintain safety and security.
• Utilize devices to scan checkpoints during patrols.
• Monitor facility for hazards, suspicious activity, and violations.
• Complete patrol routes and scans on schedule.
• Observe and report maintenance and safety concerns.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies per site procedures.
• Maintain visible security presence to deter theft and unauthorized access.
• Document observations and incidents accurately and promptly.
• Communicate with management, site personnel, and responders as needed.
• Provide professional customer service while enforcing policies.

Sunstates Security is hiring Unarmed Security Officers in the Trenton, NJ area. 3rd shift, Saturday through Monday, is available! These positions offer a pay rate of $19.00/hr, with weekly pay.

Job Requirements

• Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior areas to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Utilize a cell phone to scan designated security checkpoints throughout each patrol.
• Monitor the facility for safety hazards, suspicious activity, unauthorized individuals, or security violations.
• Ensure all patrol routes and checkpoint scans are completed accurately and within established schedules.
• Observe and report maintenance concerns, safety issues, and operational irregularities found during patrols.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Maintain a visible security presence to help deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
• Document and report all observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with management, site personnel, and emergency responders when necessary.
• Provide professional customer service while enforcing site policies and security procedures.

Requirements

• Current SORA License.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional security or leadership training a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in security.
• Strong observation and communication skills Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
• Technology literacy: Capable of operating various devices including computers, tablets, and software.
• Proficient in writing reports.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
