Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Customer Service.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Similar Role (Laboratory or Medical Office working with Specimens).

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all patient paperwork is filled out correctly and all necessary information has been captured at the time of collection.
• Update and maintain patient information and records, while ensuring patients' privacy under HIPAA regulations.
• Perform and follow specimen (urine, blood, and saliva) collection protocols.
• Monitor and maintain supplies and supply records for clinic needs; communicate needs to the lab.
• Securely package specimens for pickup by the lab's courier service.
• Follow clinic and OSHA standards/policies during work hours.

Job Description:

Radeas is looking for an experienced, professional, and outgoing FT Specimen Collector for a time-limited assignment at our Roanoke, Virginia location. This position will provide coverage while a current employee is on leave. We are looking to hire ASAP for a start date TBD.

Specimen Collector Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all patient paperwork is filled out correctly and all necessary information has been captured at the time of collection.
• Update and maintain patient information and records, as necessary, while ensuring patients complete privacy, observing HIPAA regulations into laboratory information systems.
• Perform and follow specimen (urine, blood, and salvia) collection protocols for specimen collection.
• Monitor and maintain supplies and supply records for all clinic needs. Communicate to lab any supply requests in a timely manner.
• Securely and safely package specimens for pick up by the lab's courier service.
• Follow general work protocols regarding breaks and cell phone usage during business hours.
• Adherence to all clinic and OSHA standards/policies.

Education and/or Experience:

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Customer Service.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Similar Role, such as a Laboratory or Medical Office working with Specimens.
