Job summary

BancFirst in Guthrie, OK is seeking a full-time Teller committed to accuracy and world-class customer service. The ideal candidate can work any of the three shifts within operating hours; the position includes handling transactions, promoting BancFirst services, and maintaining high standards of security.

You will process deposits and withdrawals, sell money orders and checks, balance cash, and support daily branch operations. Prior teller experience is a plus; training is available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to process transactions accurately with consistency.
• Work well under stress and deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
• Able to focus on task at hand with distractions in close quarters.
• Understanding of debits and credits.
• High School Graduate or High School equivalency.
• Knowledge of currency security features.
• Ability to balance teller cash and maintain acceptable balancing percentages as defined by management.
• Maintain Branch cash vault (if applicable).
• Knowledge of consignment items and their issuance.
• Able to perform in a highly sensitive environment, deal with confidential matters and meet deadlines.
• Work well individually and with a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Must demonstrate a business professional image and demeanor.
• Must be able to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time during the workday.
• Must be able to lift (on occasion) 10-20 pounds
• Critical thinking skills and Excellent work ethic a must
• Must be flexible and able to work additional hours when crucial to the branch environment
• Able to perform opening and closing duties while maintaining security standards
• Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality is an essential function of the job

Shifts run between 6:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous teller experience a plus, but will train

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Constant use of computer screens
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk, see or hear
• Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time during the workday
• Long periods of typing and repetitive motion
• Ability to lift and/or move and carry 10-25 pounds (cash canisters, coin boxes/bags)
