Job summary

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a full‑time Tailor in Bellevue, WA to deliver a best‑in‑class tailoring experience and product for all customers. You will perform both basic and advanced alterations, support store leadership, and help educate teams on tailoring services.

You should bring 3+ years of sewing/tailoring experience, with strong knowledge of jeans construction and denim equipment. The role requires flexible hours, weekend/holiday availability, and physical capability to lift up to 40

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years sewing/tailoring experience with strong knowledge of jeans construction.
• Thorough knowledge of sewing machines used for denim products.
• Formal training in apparel design is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic alterations (hem, patch, repair, taper) and more technical alterations as needed.
• Deliver excellent customer service to elevate the in-store tailoring experience.
• Address consumer concerns in line with policy and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Educate store teams on Tailor Shop offerings and services.
• May train Tailors within district on Tailor processes and Levi’s standards.
• Follow store policies and directives from management.
• Suggest looks aligned with current trends and Levi’s service approach.
• Support Levi’s omni experience and Tailor Shop merchandise operations.

Reporting to the Store Manager, Tailors are consumer centric, open minded, proactive, and think beyond the task. You are responsible for delivering a best-in-class Tailoring experience and excellent product for all consumers through a variety of functions and procedures relating to customer service, sales, and Tailor Shop operations.

You'll Support The Leadership Team To Success

• Executes and is responsible for basic alteration services (i.e. Hemming, patch and repair, tapering, etc.) and more technical alterations (e.g. Fitting/tailoring items other than jeans, where more technical equipment is necessary; detailed ap pearance altering processes.)
• Exemplifies and possesses strong customer service skills to elevate our clients’ experience.
• Resolve tailor-related consumer concerns in a manner consistent with company policy and with consumer satisfaction in mind. Partner with store management on elevated consumer issues.
• Educates and trains store teams on customer offerings and services provided by the Tailor Shop.
• May support with training Tailors within district and/or region on Tailor processes and Levi’s Tailoring standards.
• Comply with all Levi's® Stores policy, procedure, and programs, able to follow directives of store management
• Suggest looks that incorporate the latest trends and current promotions based on the consumer's needs consistent with Levi's® service approach.
• Promote Levi's® omni experience by engaging consumers with Red Tab Loyalty program.
• Efficient handling of all cash and Tailor Shop-related merchandise operations and procedures in compliance with store policy.

The Role Requires Someone Who

• Has a thorough understanding of denim industry and current/upcoming trends.
• Understands textiles and fabrics with proven skills in sewing, tailoring and textile repair.
• Has awareness of design and details strong communication skills both internally and externally.
• Is fashion savvy and interested in current trends.
• Enjoys being busy and juggling multiple tasks.
• Is available to work a flexible schedule to meet, including evening, weekend and holidays.
• Is able to lift up to 40 pounds, as well as constant standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching overhead, and climbing ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Has reliable transportation.
• Must be 16 years old.
• Has a minimum of 3 years’ sewing/tailoring experience, a strong knowledge of jeans construction, and a thorough knowledge of machines used in the sewing of denim products.
• Formal training in apparel design preferred but not required.
• $23-$26 depending on experience
