$10,000 SIGN ON BONUS for RN FT Days and FT Nights - 12 hour shifts

At Vantage Point of Northwest Arkansas, we pride ourselves on providing clinically excellent treatment within a setting that fosters long-term healing. We operate a 114-bed behavioral health facility serving children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Our facility is Joint Commission Accredited.

Responsibilities

REGISTERED NURSE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
  2. Develop and implement nursing care plans.
  3. Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about health conditions.
  4. Provide nursing care within the standards and scope defined by the state Nurse Practice Act, policies, and procedures.
  5. Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed appropriately.
  6. Assess patients’ status continuously and document pertinent information.
  7. Notify physicians of significant changes in patient status.
  8. Complete initial nursing treatment plans upon admission and update as needed.
  9. Use universal precautions and provide direct patient care safely.
  10. Administer medications accurately and document administration.
  11. Complete admission and discharge processes efficiently and accurately.
  12. Maintain therapeutic rapport with patients, respecting boundaries and personal space.
  13. Coordinate activities of the unit as directed.
  14. Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff.
Qualifications

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
  2. Current RN license as required by the state of employment or eligibility to practice.
  3. At least one year of nursing experience; psychiatric or behavioral health experience is a plus.
  4. CPR, de-escalation, and restraint certification required (training provided upon hire).
  5. First aid may be required based on state or facility policies.
