Job summary

Peregrine Hospitality is seeking a Night Auditor to manage overnight front desk operations, verify guest accounts, reconcile revenues, and deliver exceptional service. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Job description

Overview

As a Night Auditor in our Front Office, you ensure the seamless operation of the hotel during overnight hours. You verify guest accounts, reconcile revenues, and uphold guest services and safety. Strong communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Overnight operations of the hotel, verify the accuracy of guest accounts, balance charges and revenues, and assist with guest services and safety.
  • Reconcile and complete daily front desk work for agents.
  • Run trial balance to post rooms and close the day.
  • Provide next-day reports for Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales, and Executive Office as required.
  • Perform duties of a front desk agent as assigned.
  • Assist in directing and administering Front Office operations to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
  • Handle emergency situations, ensuring the safety and security of guests and associates.
  • Maintain safety standards for front office associates in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide professional communication with internal and external guests.
  • Oversee the VIP guest process, including reviewing VIP reservations and ensuring smooth check-in/check-out.
  • Assist with up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities to maximize occupancy and revenue.
  • Ensure team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing, policies, and local area information.
  • Maintain front desk office supplies and equipment and keep front office areas clean and organized.
  • Tend to guest questions and complaints, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Carry out supervisor requests in accordance with hotel policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Follow cleanliness standards, 4 Keys service standards, standard operating procedures, and safety standards.
  • Follow all applicable policies and procedures while striving to improve operating standards.
  • Follow safety and security procedures and maintain attendance and reliability.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Abilities
  • Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel.
  • Ability to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to speak, understand, and communicate in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Stand and move with pace for up to 4 hours.
  • Lift up to 75 lbs regularly; push and pull carts and equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to perform cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Ability to grasp, write, stand, sit, walk, perform repetitive motions, climb, and have good visual acuity.
  • Effective teamwork and professional collaboration with management and staff.

Pay: The rate of pay for this position is $23.00/hr.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

The minimum physical requirements for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Flexible and long hours may be required.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to hear, understand, and communicate orally and in writing with staff, vendors, and guests in normal in-person and phone conversations.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; ability to bend, twist, push and pull, kneel, and perform related tasks.
