Description

The Center for Motivation & Change has been providing compassionate, collaborative and expert evidence-based treatment for people struggling with substance problems for the last 10 years. CMC:Berkshires is our private 13-bed residential treatment center located on 200 acres in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts. We are driven by optimism about people’s capacity to change and by our commitment to the science of change.

Compensation: $21+/hour, commensurate with experience (non-exempt/overtime eligible)

Job Type: Full-time or Part-Time / 2-5 Shifts per week, including days, nights (out by 7:45pm!), and weekends

We are seeking a professional, kind, self-motivated individual to join our small team in a NON-RESTAURANT SETTING. We need someone who wants to work, is eager to contribute to the mission of the organization, and is looking to grow. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance knowledge and skills under the direction of talented chefs. Dependability, commitment to a regular schedule, and reliable transportation are absolute requirements. Must be able to execute complete, family style/buffet meals for 20-30 people. The environment is highly professional but not sterile, low pressure in a well-maintained kitchen.

Experience
  • Minimum two years experience as a cook is preferred - in restaurant, foodservice, or institutional setting

  • Must be able to lift and carry 25-50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, withstand frequent up-and-down/twisting/repetitive movements, and reach with hands/arms to handle objects, tools or controls.
