Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY is seeking a Psychiatric Technician on a full-time day shift. You will work under nurses, support patients with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and assist in admissions and discharges to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Requirements include an Associate's degree in Psychology (or equivalent experience), BLS, and TCIs within 3 months. Preferred: Bachelor's in Psychology and 3 years in mental health. Onsite location with rotating weekends.

Competenze

• Associate's degree in Psychology or equivalent experience.
• Successful completion of TCI within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification required (will be provided if needed).
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field.
• Preferred: 3 years' experience in a mental health field.

Mansioni

• Observe patients' behavior, listen to concerns, and record their condition.
• Help with admitting and discharging patients.
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Assist in restraining patients who may become violently.
• Share observations with the treatment team.
