Summary

We are hiring a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant in the Fort Worth area.

Salary based on full-time employment and max productivity: $60,000 to $70,000 per year.

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA, LPTA) performs treatments, provides exercise instruction, and educates patients to improve their well-being, following the established plan of care.

  • Follow all state laws governing physical therapy in home care, perform only procedures qualified and trained for, and recommend changes to the supervising PT.
  • Instruct and assist patients with active/passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait, functional activities, ADL, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
  • Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT, nurse, or physician. Coordinate care with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members within the PTA scope of practice.
Education and Experience

License Requirements

  • Current licensure, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy in the state.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Additional State Requirements

  • TX: At least one year of experience as a licensed PTA.
