Job summary

Dominion Diagnostics is seeking a Field Laboratory Phlebotomist to join our nationwide team. This role collects urine specimens and performs blood draws, accurately entering patient information into the requisition system and packaging specimens for transport to the lab.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 am–4 pm (40 hours weekly). You will maintain inventory, ensure HIPAA and compliance policies are followed, and provide superior customer service while collaborating with a team of laboratory

Qualifications

• Punctual and dependable with consistent attendance.
• Phlebotomy certificate is required.
• Exceptional customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients and patients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, and internet.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and perform related physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate collection of urine samples and blood draws while following policies; enter order data.
• Maintain inventory of sampling supplies and place orders as needed.
• Maintain high accuracy in all documentation.
• Follow HIPAA and compliance policies.
• Work effectively with a team of laboratory professionals.
• Label specimens accurately and prepare for transport per shipping guidelines.
• Report collection issues, refusals or unusual incidents according to facility policy.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, including proper PPE usage.

Field Laboratory Phlebotomist:

This role is a vital part of the quantitative drug testing process at Dominion Diagnostics. Responsibilities include collecting urine specimens and performing blood draws, accurately entering patient information into the electronic requisition system, and properly packaging and shipping all specimens to the laboratory for analysis. This position supports a detox and treatment center.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday (8a-4p) (40 hours weekly)

The Phlebotomist will perform the following duties while delivering superior customer service:

• Facilitate the collection of urine samples and blood draws while following departmental policies, and complete all required order entry tasks.
• Maintain inventory of sampling supplies and ordering as needed.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all documentation.
• Follow established HIPAA and compliance policies.
• Must work efficiently with a team of laboratory professionals.
• Label specimens accurately and complete all required documentation.
• Prepare and package specimens for laboratory transport in accordance with shipping and stability guidelines.
• Ensure collection areas are clean, organized and stocked with neccessary supplies.
• Report collection issues, refusals or unusual incidents according to facility policy.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols, including proper PPE usage.
