Job summary

United Anesthesia Services seeks full-time CRNAs for the MLH system, serving MLH Hospitals including Lankenau, Paoli, Riddle, BMH and related surgery centers. The role covers diverse cases in a large health system with weekday and on-call responsibilities.

Salary ranges from $220,000 to $240,000 plus a $25,000 sign-on per tier with 1-year or $75,000 for 3 years, $10,000 referral bonus, PTO of 6 weeks, CME allowance of $1,850 and sign-on call bonus of $30,000.

Qualifications

• Must hold PA RN license and graduate of an approved nurse anesthesia program.
• Maintains AANA certification and hospital privileges where assigned.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications kept current; strong documentation and handoff skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ status, induce and maintain anesthesia, and manage intraoperative care.
• Communicate clearly with teams; document care and transfer of responsibility.
• Maintain equipment and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.

Job description

MLH CRNA

UAS is looking for Full Time CRNAs in the MLH system.

MLH Hospitals (Lankenau, Paoli, Riddle, BMH and surgery centers).

• Tier 1 (0-5 Years) - $220,000
• Tier 2 (5-9 Years) - $230,000
• Tier 3 (10+ Years) - $240,000
• $25,000 sign on bonus for each tier for 1 year commitment or $75k for 3 years commitment
• $10k referral bonus

PTO - 6 weeks

CME - $1,850

Sign-on call bonus $30k

Additional Pay -$220/hr.

Beeper Call (MLH hospitals only)

• $200/hr. if called in (per diem)
• $220/hr. if called in (FTE)

BMH Mon-Fri (7p-11p only) - $35/hr. and Sat/Sun -$500

• LMC & RH - $25/hr.
• PH - $35/hr.

Qualifications

Clinical Skills

• Must be able to appropriately: Assess patients’ status, induce and maintain anesthesia, establish IV access, intubate patients. Must promptly report any problems or concerns to attending anesthesiologist. Cases will be reviewed at random to evaluate performance.

Communication Skills

• Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing, including but not limited to the following:
• Complete, clear and appropriate documentation
• Timely communication
• Accurate sign-out documentation
• Appropriate transfer of care
• Effective, respectful communication with patients and other clinicians
• Regular communication with attending physician

Education, Training, and Certification Requirements

• Registered RN in the State of Pennsylvania
• Completion of an approved program in Nurse Anesthesia
• Must maintain certification of Nurse Anesthesia by the America Association of Nurse Anesthetists(AANA) and State of Pennsylvania
• Maintenance of Continuing Education requirements of the AANA
• Must complete all required UAS training programs
• Must maintain BLS & ACLS certifications, and PALS certifications as required
• Must maintain facility privileges

Physical Requirements

• Regularly standing for periods of up to 60 minutes
• Ability to lift 20 lbs
• Ability to push/pull stretcher with patient (of up to 250 lbs)
• Bending/Stooping regularly through shift
• Walking: regularly throughout shift as required for patient care. Occasionally, must be able to respond quickly to emergencies
• Repetitive motions: regularly as required for patient care
• Sufficient Auditory and visual abilities as required for patient care

Other Requirements

• Familiar with the location, operation & process for reporting malfunctions, of the following: Anesthesia machines & monitors, Ventilators, Cardiac monitors, Temperature & BP monitors, MH cart/box, All pediatric anesthesia equipment, Endotracheal intubation tools, Hand-controlled ventilation tools, CPR equipment, Computers & clinical computer programs, Other clinical Point of Care testing equipment
• Uniform & Dress: Scrubs or other OR appropriate attire in accordance with facility requirements
• Must follow universal precautions in all clinical work
• Acceptable surgeon, patient, and facility satisfaction levels
• Adherence to all UAS policies and procedures
• Maintains in strictest confidence all patient and corporate information
• Willing to serve on hospital or UAS committees, as requested
• Good attendance and timeliness; courteous in relieving others and when taking breaks
• Positive representation of UAS
