DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and government regulations.
2. Meet or exceed all Management Planning guidelines.
3. Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
4. Develop product knowledge in all areas of the meat department, including cooking procedures.
5. Make price changes and maintain accurate price books and scales as directed.
6. Assist in special projects and perform other functions as assigned by supervisor.
7. Assist in training other associates when assigned.
8. Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and comply with company appearance policies.
9. Maintain effective communication within the department and organization.
10. Support safety standards, report equipment issues, and keep work areas safe and clean.
11. Observe sanitation and food safety standards.
12. Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Good interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.
2. Must meet minimum age requirements.
3. Effective customer service and communication skills.
4. Experience as a meat associate or in meat cutting preferred.
5. Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical skills.

Physical Requirements

1. Lift cases/packages weighing 1-40 lbs frequently; up to 100 lbs on occasion.
2. Meet volume activity standards.
3. Stand or walk continuously in temperatures around 45°F.
4. Perform repetitive motions such as grasping, twisting, reaching, and cutting.
5. Handle various substances related to cleaning, packaging, and meat products.
6. Frequent bending required.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

1. Complete meat cutting training, including tasks like scraping, cubing, grinding, and processing meats.
2. Perform meat associate responsibilities as directed.
3. Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with product selection.
4. Identify, wrap, price, and weigh meat products per procedures.
5. Stock cases with proper rotation.
6. Receive, code, rotate, and store meat deliveries.
7. Clean and sanitize cases, equipment, and work areas.
8. Meet physical requirements with or without accommodations.

Salary range: $18.95 - $27.25 hourly.
