PRIMARY PURPOSE

The primary purpose of this job is to oversee and document all incoming goods, orchestrate the unloading process, and supervise the distribution of goods to temporary storage or departments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promptly, at the start of the shift, the team member will review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
  • Maintain a clear, clean, and organized receiving dock area.
  • Move pallets with a pallet jack and put pallets into temporary racking with a hi-lift.
  • Oversee all return goods loading.
  • Oversee, input information, coordinate unloading of trucks of all incoming goods to the receiving area.
  • Use a pallet jack to move unloaded pallets to keep the receiving area clear and workable.
  • Oversee the breakdown of pallets and the loading of department U-boats.
  • Input, check, and authenticate all data in the store computer.
  • Check incoming numbers with ordered numbers of items.
  • Move pallets of materials to elevated racking with a hi-lift truck.
  • Oversee all UPS shipments.
  • Oversee use of compactor and make bales in the bailer.
  • Use a pallet jack and pallets to roll bales out of bailer and then load them on a truck.
  • Assemble displays when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
  • Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Special skills: First Aid training and CPR.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Team members are responsible for understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the policy and procedure manual and the team member handbook.
  • Know MSDS information about all materials used during work.
  • Must complete and follow Lockout/Tagout training.
  • Must complete and follow Confined Space training.
  • Must complete Right-to-Know training.
