The primary purpose of this job is to prepare food items such as sandwiches, subs, roasted or fried chicken, pizza, and deli foods, and merchandise them as per plan-o-gram (POG).

Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
  2. Manage production planning and invoice review.
  3. Produce products for sales floor warmers and hot bar as per POG and SOP.
  4. Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
  5. Complete daily food safety compliance logs.
  6. Track and record loss using known loss tracking (KLT).
  7. Train team members.
  8. Prepare and merchandise sandwiches, wraps, pizza, and deli items as per SOP.
  9. Assist customers, including slicing meats and cheeses, portioning, weighing, and labeling.
  10. Produce items for grab-and-go sections.
  11. Roast, wrap, and label chicken; clean equipment and manage oil disposal.
  12. Fry chicken, clean fryers, and manage related tasks.
  13. Break down and clean equipment every 4 hours.
  14. Order and produce smoked products as per SOP.
  15. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation using appropriate cleaning tools and chemicals.
  16. Perform record-keeping, loss tracking, markdowns, and manage freight uploads.
  17. Execute merchandising programs and organize the sales floor.

General Rules

  • Report accidents and injuries promptly, and follow safety protocols.
  • Follow instructions, wear appropriate apparel and PPE, and maintain safety and sanitation standards.
  • Know emergency procedures and evacuations.
  • Understand and follow company policies, including MSDS, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and Right-to-Know training.

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and understand safety regulations.
  • Meet ergonomic, physical, and performance standards, including attendance.
  • Capable of operating necessary equipment and tools.

Physical Requirements

  • Minimum 4-hour shifts, with maximum physical exertion as required.
  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs., stand for 55%, walk for 45% of the shift.
  • Work in varying temperatures, from freezer to back room.

Preferred Requirements

  • Understanding of company policies and procedures as outlined in manuals and handbooks.
