Primary Purpose

As an Expeditor, you serve as the customer service liaison for the Hannaford To Go department. You are the voice customers hear on the phone and the face they see at pickup, representing Hannaford. Your role is to ensure smooth, quick customer pickups and deliveries, with accurate, high-quality fresh items. Your typical day involves:

Responsibilities

• Organize and prioritize shop and pickup processes.
• Conduct order reviews.
• Check code dates and quality of fresh products, focusing on produce.
• Count parcels for accuracy.
• Stage orders and consolidate bags when needed.
• Set up shopper carts.
• Coordinate with department leaders for proper handling of prepared items.
• Dispense pickup and delivery orders to customers and drivers.
• Monitor and manage last-mile delivery orders via dashboards.
• Manage Flybuy orders through staff dashboard app.
• Answer customer calls for questions and arrivals.
• Adhere to wait time and order completeness goals.
• Handle cash pickups and change orders, logging as required.
• Verify customer IDs and observe store policies on age-restricted items.

Additional Duties

• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a neat appearance.
• Promptly handle return-to-stock items, especially perishables.
• Support safety standards and report needed repairs.
• Keep work area safe and debris-free.
• Recognize and differentiate produce types and varieties.
• Record price discrepancies and 'not on file' items.
• Secure registers and equipment when unattended.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Ability to perform technical tasks related to Hannaford To Go service.

Physical Requirements

• Perform repetitive motions while standing/walking.
• Wear shopping device hands-free.
• Lift up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally.
• Push or pull up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Work in various weather conditions.
• Handle shopping carts and substances like cleaning materials and produce.
• Read screens, IDs, checks, and documents.

Salary range: $15.90 - $21.60 per hour.
