Job Title: Nursing Program Administrator
The Nursing Program Administrator is responsible for planning, evaluating, and directing nursing education programs. Provides leadership to the Associate Degree Nursing and Practical Nursing Programs.

- Ensures compliance of the Associate Degree Nursing program with NJ BON regulations and ACEN standards. Ensures Practical Nursing Program compliance with NJ BON regulations.
- Completes annual reports and surveys for NJBON, ACEN, and NLN. Supervises data collection and maintenance to support evaluation and accreditation standards, and collaborates with faculty on program decisions based on data.
- Participates in continuing education provided by accrediting bodies and updates faculty on changes in regulations and standards.
- Collaborates with Nursing Department Chairpersons and faculty to maintain current, rigorous, and compliant curricula.
- Prepares the Academic Affairs Nursing Mid-Year and End-of-Year Reports.
- Maintains program documentation, including handbooks, websites, and outcome data forms.
- Supervises and evaluates Nursing Department Chairpersons, Assistant Director, Skill and Simulation Laboratory, and Program Coordinator.
- Recommends faculty for retention, tenure, and promotion.
- Provides input on the nursing department’s operating budget to the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs.
- Submits requests for Perkins funding and ensures compliance.
- Approves payroll for part-time nursing staff.
- Oversees admissions processes and collaborates on strategies to improve student success and retention.
- Promotes faculty and staff professional development.
- Develops relationships with BSN completion programs and manages articulation agreements.
- Represents the college at local and state nursing-related organizations.
- Maintains relationships with contractual agencies and explores new clinical opportunities, ensuring compliance with contracts and health and safety requirements.
- Handles student grievances and complaints per standards.
- Chairs and coordinates Nursing Department and Advisory Council activities, maintaining meeting records.
- Participates in college governance activities related to nursing programs.
- Collaborates with Workforce Development for professional workshops and assists in outreach and program planning.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
- Master's degree in Nursing
- RN license in New Jersey
- Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or DNP or equivalent preferred
Experience:
- At least two years of supervisory experience
- At least two years of teaching experience
- Experience with nursing program accreditation
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
