Job description:

PMM Companies is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate in English. Janitorial experience is required. Responsibilities include cleaning buildings, removing debris, and maintaining neat and tidy areas. The role involves vacuuming and buffing floors, shampooing carpets, emptying trash receptacles, and replacing trash can liners.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Cleaning outside grounds.
2. Sweeping and mopping floors.
3. Cleaning buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and surface cleaning.
4. Monitoring building security and safety, including locking doors after hours and checking electrical appliances for hazards.
5. Steam-cleaning carpets.
6. Using cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
7. Mixing various cleaning agents.
8. Cleaning windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners and tools.
9. Dusting furniture and scrubbing surfaces.
10. Applying wax and sealant to floors and buffing as needed.
11. Cleaning and servicing restrooms with disinfectants.
12. Performing light maintenance, such as changing light bulbs.
13. Responding to tenant and building management requests as needed.
