Summary

We are hiring for a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the Forest Hill area.

Salary based on full-time employment and maximum productivity: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.

Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA, OTA) in Home Health provides occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, aiming to restore their physical abilities. Duties are performed according to policies, procedures, and the established plan of care.

  • Follow all state-specific laws governing occupational therapy in home care and adhere strictly to the treatment plan set by the supervising OT.
  • Instruct and assist patients in evidence-based treatments within the scope of practice for occupational therapy assistants and in accordance with state laws.
  • Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising OT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician. Coordinate care with other healthcare team members as appropriate.
  • Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members about therapy within the OTA scope of practice.
Education and Experience

License Requirements

  • Current OTA licensure in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation (vehicle or public transit)
