Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of this job is to oversee all facets of the front-end including customer service, training, administering front-end scheduling, performance, productivity, shrink, sanitation, and safety.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Promptly, at the start of the shift, review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the scheduled work, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and prepare for duties.
  • Supervise all checkout cashiers, assist in checkouts, clear computer or registers, resolve customer issues, bag when necessary, and open or close checkout lanes based on customer load.
  • Perform special store level projects as assigned by the assistant store manager of customer experience.
  • Serve as role model to all team members for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Other duties as requested by management related to front-end operations, customer service, team members, cash control, productivity, shrink, and food safety.
Qualifications
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations to complete job duties satisfactorily.
  • Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to use or learn to use the equipment and tools for this job.
  • Meet the company's performance standards, including regular attendance.
  • Have 1 year of work experience or technical training.
  • Strong knowledge in training, communication, human relations, team building, planning, and organization. High energy, positive attitude, sense of urgency.
  • Leadership skills that motivate team members and provide recognition.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Special skills: computer register systems, cash management systems, and general computer skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Shift hours: minimum 8-hour shifts or more as needed.
  • Job cycles: continual max.
  • Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
  • Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%
  • Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
  • Max pull static: 20 lbs.

  • Understanding company policy and procedures as per manual and handbook.
