Position: Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers positively. Address inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure a clean, well-stocked store environment.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Help with ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support loss prevention efforts.
• Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to interpret operational directives.
• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 55 lbs., and perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
• Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
