Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and expand knowledge of seafood products, storage, and preparation techniques.
- Follow all company policies and established standards.
- Manage department operations in the absence of the manager, adhering to standard practices.
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and comply with personal appearance policies.
- Recognize and coach associates to deliver excellent service.
- Utilize company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity, and business systems.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Train other associates when needed.
- Maintain clear communication within the department and organization.
- Work within management planning guidelines to ensure productivity.
- Support safety standards, report equipment issues, and keep work areas safe and clean.
- Treat all colleagues with dignity and fairness.
- Adhere to sanitation and food safety standards.
- Ensure the department's appearance and presentation meet quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.

Physical Requirements:
- Work in cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes.
- Stand or walk continuously in freezer and cooler environments.
- Lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Meet volume activity standards.
- Perform reaching, grasping, bending, and handling tasks regularly.
- Use hands for feeling, opening boxes, and preparing fish.
- Handle cleaning and packaging substances safely.
Preferred Requirements:
- Provide friendly, solution-oriented customer service.
- Cut, filet, and display seafood, ensuring proper rotation.
- Assist with merchandise replenishment and setup.
- Build and maintain ice walls.
- Maintain accurate records of production, sales, and inventory.
- Package and display products per customer needs.
- Sanitize equipment according to policy.
- Supervise seafood staff performance.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and financial outcomes.
- Meet physical demands with or without accommodations.
Salary range: $18.95 - $27.25 per hour.
