Duties and Responsibilities:

• Observe and follow all company policies and established practices.
• Manage department operations in the absence of the manager, following standard practices.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and comply with personal appearance policies.
• Recognize and coach associates to deliver excellent service.
• Utilize company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity, ordering, and business systems.
• Communicate effectively within the department and organization.
• Maintain merchandising standards and department compliance with pricing and coding policies.
• Support safety standards, report equipment issues, and keep work areas safe and clean.
• Develop product knowledge and understand department manuals.
• Ensure proper training of all meat department associates.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety standards.
• Ensure the department's appearance and presentation meet quality standards.
• Treat all team members with fairness, dignity, and respect, providing recognition and feedback.
• Perform any additional assigned duties and projects.

Qualifications:

• Leadership and team management skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must meet age requirements per company policy.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift 1-40 lb. cases frequently, up to 100 lb. occasionally.
• Stand or walk continuously in temperatures around 45°F.
• Perform repetitive motions such as grasping, twisting, and reaching.
• Handle cleaning and packaging substances safely.
• Use hands and tools for meat handling and preparation.
• Frequent bending required.

Preferred Requirements:

• Provide outstanding customer service and solutions.
• Lead workflow of meat cutters and clerks.

Salary range: $21.75 - $31.60 hourly.
