Key Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries, break down loads, and rotate stock.
• Weigh, price, and label products.
• Stock cases and prepare valued-added products.
• Provide excellent customer service and utilize product knowledge for suggestive selling.
• Manage product ordering, inventory, and execute weekly merchandising plans.
• Ensure sanitation and food safety standards are met.
• Maintain quality assurance and train team members.
• Manage department in the meat manager's absence and perform other tasks as assigned.
• Process cuts for service counters or special orders.
• Achieve sales, gross profit, shrink, and labor targets, and reconcile invoices.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodations.
• Proficient in using equipment and tools related to the job.
• Ability to work in a cold environment.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum shift of 4 hours, depending on business needs.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for 55% and walk for 45% of the shift.
• Category IV physical demands including lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Maximum static pull of 20 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
