The primary purpose of this role is to manage department tasks including order entry, scheduling, supervision, training, receiving, stocking, and quality checks.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
  2. Perform markdowns and track loss.
  3. Operate all equipment related to deli, carryout, cafe, and cheese departments.
  4. Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, and display areas.
  5. Prepare and display sandwiches, subs, wraps, and pizzas according to SOPs.
  6. Assist customers with slicing meats and cheeses, portioning, weighing, and labeling.
  7. Produce items for the grab-and-go case.
  8. Roast and prepare chicken, including wrapping and labeling.
  9. Fry chicken, change oil, and clean fryers as needed.
  10. Order and demonstrate smoked program processes if applicable.
  11. Maintain equipment cleanliness and organization, including cleaning every 4 hours.
  12. Handle loading and unloading of goods and supplies.
  13. Follow SOPs for donations and sanitation.
  14. Stock department cases and record losses.
  15. Maintain organized sales floor coolers and freezers.
  16. Assist in planning weekly advertisements.
General Rules

Follow safety, sanitation, and company policies, including reporting accidents, wearing PPE, and understanding emergency procedures. Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

Qualifications
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to understand and communicate safety and company policies.
  • Complete food safety certification every 5 years.
  • Meet ergonomic, physical, and performance standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Minimum 4-hour shifts, with physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Stand for 55% of the time, walk for 45%.
  • Work in temperature extremes, including freezers and back rooms.
Preferred Requirements

Understanding of company policies and procedures as outlined in manuals and handbooks.
