Job Description

Our Sky Vista community seeks a full-time Caregiver to join our dedicated team of senior living professionals.

Shift: 6am-2pm

Job Summary: The duties listed are representative of the position's core functions. All team members are expected to perform essential and related duties, follow supervisor instructions, and complete additional tasks as assigned. The Caregiver assists residents with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, hygiene, transportation, and maintaining dignity and respect, adhering to policies, procedures, and regulations.

Essential Job Duties (with approximate time allocation):

• Respond promptly and kindly to resident needs, ensuring safety, dignity, and confidentiality (50%)
• Follow care plans to provide proper care (10%)
• Assist with bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, activities, and toileting (20%)
• Help with mealtime assistance, serving, and room tray delivery (3%)
• Transport residents safely (3%)
• Perform safety checks (1%)
• Encourage participation in activities (1%)
• Perform laundry and assist with community activities (1%)
• Manage oxygen equipment per MD orders (1%)
• Document resident information and communicate changes (4%)
• Respond to alerts and emergencies (3%)
• Maintain resident safety during safety drills (1%)

Non-essential duties include maintaining a positive image, teamwork, effective time management, professionalism, policy adherence, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Age 18+ or valid work permit
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Nurses Aid certification preferred
• Current first aid certification
• Background checks as required
• Health screening and negative TB test within last 6 months or 7 days of employment
• Prior caregiving experience preferred; on-the-job training available
• English reading and speaking skills
• Ability to follow instructions and interact effectively
• Meet state regulatory requirements

Physical Demands include mobility, lifting (40+ lbs), and pushing (150 lbs).
