Job description

Job Description: Alarm Dispatcher

Schedule: Sat-Tues (Sat/Sun 0800-1600 and Mon/Tues 1600-0000)

Contract Rate: $21

Essential Functions:

  1. Maintains telephone communications with client sites; receives calls from Security Officers and Field Supervisors on an established basis to acknowledge their presence and to report that the client site is secure; maintains logs of incoming calls.
  2. Reports to appropriate management or scheduling staff any posts that are not staffed in a timely manner; reports call-off situations and assists supervisors in locating staff to cover open posts.
  3. Fields calls from client representatives related to staffing issues and ensures immediate resolution of any problems.
  4. Provides telephone back-up to administrative staff when the volume of incoming calls is heavy; maintains telephone logs and delivers messages to staff.
  5. Updates scheduling records, as appropriate, when day-to-day assignments change on automated resource system, manual logs, or drag sheets; properly documents change to scheduling or security coverage requirements.
  6. May be responsible for control keys and equipment or uniform inventory.
  7. Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assigned office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Reliable means of communication and transportation.
  • Legal right to work in the United States.
  • Ability to effectively speak, read and write English.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Some client sites require at least 1 year of prior security experience.
