Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician to ensure sanitary conditions and that raw, in-process, and finished products meet established food safety and quality standards.

You will verify HACCP plans and monitor CCPs, applying corrective actions when needed. The role involves documenting findings, supporting root cause analyses, and contributing to sanitation programs and quality controls.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food manufacturing with Food Safety & Quality Assurance.
• Certifications such as HACCP, PCQI, SQF are helpful.
• Must have keen ability to analyze problems based on facts/data, procedures, specs, and experience.
• Good English communication; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verifies conformance to FSQA and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements in daily production operations.
• Checks and inspects to ensure GMPs, sanitary conditions, and compliance with standards.
• Verifies that HACCP plan is followed; checks CCPs and CPs through records or observation.
• Takes corrective action (Hold) when ingredients or environment are out of spec.
• Keeps accurate records and conducts plant testing as required.
• Assists in root cause analysis and implements preventive measures.
• Develops and applies quality controls and related procedures in plant operations.
