Summary: This position assists the FSQA Supervisor in supervising shift technicians and inspecting food products to ensure compliance with Food Safety and Specification Adherence. Responsibilities include coordinating activities, learning all floor technician roles, safety responsibilities, and completing additional assignments as needed.

  1. Implement daily activity plans by breaking them down into detailed work assignments for FSQA Technicians.
  2. Monitor progress of FSQA Technicians and production activities, providing necessary input to meet FSQA objectives.
  3. Brief FSQA Technicians on work assignments, production schedules, and areas needing extra attention at shift start.
  4. Conduct lab duties and on-floor checks, balancing laboratory and production environment tasks.
  5. Assist in training and developing FSQA Technicians.
  6. Review FSQA records for accuracy and compliance.
  7. Investigate nonconformances, ensure proper product handling, and identify root causes.
  8. Report all quality and food safety issues promptly to the FSQA Supervisor.
  9. Inspect products for compliance with specifications and standards, including legal and shipping requirements.
  10. Perform all duties in accordance with USDA, company policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Education: Preferably 1-2 years of college or related experience.
  • Experience: FSQA experience; laboratory experience is a plus.
  • Computer Skills: Basic to intermediate proficiency.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and oral communication.
  • Note: Some weekend work may be required.
  • Highly recommended to include a resume in PDF or Word format.
