Summary: The FSQA Technician conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of production processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts standardized tests on products and materials to ensure compliance with standards and regulations regarding factors such as color, weight, dimension, texture.
- Reviews purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
- Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with HACCP standards and company policies and procedures.
- Records test data such as weights, temperatures, moisture content, qualities and quantities inspected or graded.
- Applies proper acceptance/rejection criteria and marks items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
- Audits production facility and reviews employee behavior for proper sanitation.Performs weekly pest control and documents findings.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to Production/QA Management.
- Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities to production.
- Maintains a working knowledge of company, government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
- Pulls samples from finished goods, inspects labels, date codes, package integrity, count, and organoleptic evaluation of product.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
- Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
- At some locations: May perform weekly pest control and document findings.
This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $20 to $26.60.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years in a similar FSQA role
- Industry specific experience
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee moves objects
- regularly up to 10 pounds

- occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
