Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician to safeguard product quality throughout processing. You will conduct tests, document results, and ensure compliance with HACCP, customer specifications, and regulatory standards.

You’ll audit facilities, communicate issues to management, and help implement process improvements while maintaining knowledge of safety policies and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in food processing.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience in food processing.
• 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance in a food processing facility.

Responsibilities

• Conducts standardized tests on products and materials to ensure compliance with internal standards, customerspecificationsand international,federaland state regulations.
• Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with HACCP standards and company policies and procedures.
• Records test data such as weights, temperatures, moisture content,qualitiesand quantities inspected or graded.
• Applies proper acceptance/rejection criteria and marks items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
• Audits production facility and reviews employee behavior for proper sanitation.
• Communicates significant issues or developmentsidentifiedduring quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to Production/QA Management.
• Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities to production.
• Identifieswork related problems and recommends effective solutions as appropriate
• Maintains a working knowledge of company, government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.

Responsibilities

Summary:

The Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician (FSQA) with conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of the production processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.

• Acquiresknowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activitiesin accordance withtraining and procedures/work instructions.

• Notifiesdesignated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented,in accordance withEnvironmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
