Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician to support QA of production processes, materials and products. The role involves standardized testing, documentation per HACCP standards, data recording, and reporting results to management.

You will audit facilities, ensure sanitation, communicate issues, and contribute to continuous improvements while maintaining knowledge of industry QA codes and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in food processing.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 3 years in food processing.
• Preferred: 1 year in QA in a food processing facility.

Responsibilities

• Conducts standardized tests on products to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer specifications and regulations.
• Documents data from QA activities per HACCP and company policies and procedures.
• Records test data such as weights, temperatures, moisture content, qualities and quantities inspected or graded.
• Applies acceptance/rejection criteria and marks items with grade and status.
• Audits production facility and reviews sanitation practices.
• Communicates significant QA issues to Production/QA Management and suggests process improvements.
• Prepares reports communicating QA results to production.
• Maintains knowledge of QA codes and standards.

Responsibilities

Summary:

The Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician (FSQA) with conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of the production processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions:

• Conducts standardized tests on products and materials to ensure compliance with internal standards, customerspecificationsand international,federaland state regulations.

• Documentsdata obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with HACCP standards and company policies and procedures.

• Records test data such as weights, temperatures, moisture content,qualitiesand quantities inspected or graded.

• Applies proper acceptance/rejection criteria and marks items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.

• Audits production facility and reviews employee behavior for proper sanitation.

• Communicates significant issues or developmentsidentifiedduring quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to Production/QA Management.

• Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities to production.

• Identifieswork related problems and recommends effective solutions as appropriate

• Maintains a working knowledge of company, government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.

• Acquiresknowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activitiesin accordance withtraining and procedures/work instructions.

• Notifiesdesignated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented,in accordance withEnvironmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MinimumQualifications:

• A minimum of1 year experience in food processing.

• HS Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in food processing.

• 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance in a food processing facility.
