Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. seeks a Quality Assurance Technician 5 to uphold product quality and plant systems at our Kentucky site. You will perform inspections, document results, and report findings to management to ensure compliance with standards.

The role requires 1 year FSQA or QA experience, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work all shifts; lifting to 40 lbs and willingness to work across locations may be needed. Background checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in a FSQA role preferred or other QA type experience.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interacts with USDA and other contacts.
• Special Skills: Tyson paperwork proficiency; leadership to motivate hourly workforce; strong problem identification and solving; read and interpret product specifications; withstand stress.
• Physical: Lifting 40 lbs or more; long periods of standing/walking.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections: perform thorough physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
• Document & report: accurately document and calculate inspection results and report findings to management.
• Take action: proactively take corrective actions by alerting personnel to adjust processes and isolate non-conforming products.
• Collaborate: work with team and management to ensure continuous improvement and safety standards.
• Additional assignments: take on extra tasks as needed to support operations.
